Week 3 - 4 - 5

Mon- Day 15: Completed Jillian in the am, had MA orientation, no run scheduled today.  However, it is the boy's first day of football practice.  Supposed to head to Maine tomorrow, I am planning on getting a bit of a run on while little man is at practice, since we will be in the car all day tomorrow.  Man is it HOT out there.  Went to practice, should have ran 4 X 400 meters, but there wasn't a track at practice.  Ran the perimeter of the baseball field while eye balling the distance.  Not very easy on an uneven field with holes.  I think I did most of it.  It was muggy, the storm started in, practice was called early.

Tues- Day 16- got up at 3:00am to complete Jillian before heading out.  Its going to be a long day.

Wed- Day 17- Ran my 3 miles this morning, ran the Middle Road.  Not a big fan of running on the frost heaves that have cracked the road up and going to the minimal shoulder when traffic approaches.  Today is a day off from Jillian.  I can see while on vacation this week is not going to be perfect.  I will be lucky to complete 50% of scheduled workouts.  Damn that Sapphire Gin, Pomegranate juice, and lime...they were soo good. 

Thurs- Day 18- Today should be 30 minute tempo, but I think I will pass on that.  Also skipped Jillian. 

Friday- Day 19- Completed Jillian while chatting with my friend.  Couldn't do everything as my equipment was limited, stuck with more floor exercises.  Didn't really push myself, but it got done.  No run scheduled today as tomorrow is a big run and I want to complete it without dying.  Got a date with the old man at the Old Goat tonight.

Sat- Day 20- Off from Jillian :>) and Jeez, will my liver survive this trip?  Completed the run, went to Wiscasset High school to use their track.  Still excited about the program and keeping in a routine. 

Sun- Day 21- Supposed to completed Jillian today, and sorry to say between the rain and lack of motivation it just isn't going to happen today.  Will get to Jillian and run tomorrow, will also do measurements, not sure how much I will take them into consideration as this week has been so far off while on vacation.  After measurements...Not a positive week, but its not the programs fault, its all MINE.  I will get a bit more motivation after we are home and no more blueberry cake or peach & Blueberry cobbler for breakfast.

Mon- Day 22- It's so hard to motivate while on vacation.  Ran 4 X 400 today.  I think it was a good run.  Came back and completed most of day 22 workout.  Threw some day 21 stuff in there and mixed & matched it up. 

Tues- Day 23- Ran 3 miles, a bit sore, but good.  Ran the Middle Road again, found a dead cat.  You would think it was rush hour for all the traffic. 

Wed- Day 24- OFF FROM EVERYTHING- road trip home.  So sad

Thurs- Day 25- Jillian you ROCK!  You made me sweat and feel the burn.  Only five more days left with you.  Don't worry I won't leave you forever.  Supposed to do 35 minute tempo, but may just walk while little man is at practice.   I know its not really following the rules, but sometimes you have to adjust.  Completed the walk, just shy of 2 miles. 

Fri- Day 26- My last workout with Jillian for the week.  Made it through most of it.  I did learn that per workout out, I need to make notes about how much weight, what I do or don't do.  Sometimes the just "because it sucks theory" seems to rule.  Don't have a run scheduled either.  Kind of frustrated with football as they don't have a schedule calendar ready yet and I want to get it all in there to stay organized. 

Sat- Day 27- 6 MILES OF TORTURE!! My excuses are plentiful.  Got there later than planned, high school practices were underway- lost rythmn trying not to interupt them, didn't drink as much water at home as usual, hadn't ran since Tuesday.  Did not feel that on top of my game.  Busy day ahead of us as well. 

Sun- Day 28- Ran 35 minutes EZ- wasn't bad.  It sprinkled a bit.  Run felt good and at a good pace.  4 weeks down!! Not perfect, but there are improvements.

Mon- Day 29- Jillian and I had a date at 5 am.  How awful is that?  Had to get her out of the way, have a 8 am doctors appt and starting new job at 10:00 this morning. 

Tues- Day 30- It's here, my last day with Jillian!!  Good workout- there were still things I skipped and its okay.  I used her to start the process and get the motivation back.  I know if I would have followed the diet (at all) I would have had great results.  Also ran the 5 X 400 today.  Still not happy with my sprinting time.  Blitz had a vet appointment, then I went into the new job at 9:00 and quit.  Did not like the assistant manager and it wasn't worth it to me. 

Wednesday- Completed 3 mile run.  Did a run through the neighborhood.  Think I will try running with the camelback and see how it works.  It's kind of nice to know I have a few days off from workouts almost excited for the next phase.  Also working on ensuring little man makes weight for football.

Thursday- OFF

Friday- OFF

Saturday- Here comes the dreaded 7 mile run.  And you know what?  I kicked ass!  For me anyway!  So happy with my average.  Really wanted to quit after 2 miles, but I kept at it.  Ran for the first time with the camelback, I liked it.  Legs are pretty sore today.  Have to measure tomorrow to start the P90X. 

Sunday- Woke up later than anticipated.  Didn't get started until 8:06 this morning, after the cappo maker decided to shoot espresso everywhere.  Felt comfortable with the run, but I have done better.  Need to push just a little more next week.  Walked the dog, then started P90X.  Not bad for a first day, I can see where one can easily self limit themselves.  I think it will be a good workout.  I also think I am exercised for the day!  Didn't get done with everything until 11:00 am.

4.75 inches gone from whole body and 1.5 lbs.  Wonder what my totals would be if I actually gave up beer, wine, all liquor and halfway followed an eating plan?  Maybe when you do it, you can do it that way, me I prefer to also enjoy my life :)
