Does this last forever?
We started a journey and took one exceptional child, 2 insane parents, 2 cats and went to Maine. Where in Maine you must wear slippers as the floors are cold.
In Maine this child started pre-school and stopped wearing the slippers and started wearing clothes. We have always encouraged this child to do his best, try his hardest, and we would be proud.
This is us, proud-
The journey took us from Maine to California. Minus one cat and add a dog. Parents are still insane and the child (?) Well, the child started to grow and to excel in school. He may not be able to keep his shoes tied but he can calculate more geometry and science than I ever thought possible. We never thought about it, we just let him do it.
Each time the journey moved us- from California to Maryland minus the other cat, and a bit more hair from Hubby ( I am so going to hell for that one)
Today he is 11 years old and has finished his elementary career with pride. For now he enjoys his video games and wants to be a SEAL when he grows up. He still likes his parents and respects them (keep my fingers crossed this will last), is still a momma's boy and will hopefully always giggle at the word DINGER. We always tell him to do what he wants to do and to be the best at it. He is such a determined child that he may just get to where he wants to be. Until then we will continue our journey and see where it leads. Hell if he has accomplished this much with our crazy lives I can only believe he is limitless. You can only fail if you give up and I dont see any of us giving up.
